About 'Songs Our Parents Sang'
This album is a compilation of cover songs and, while aimed at children, should also appeal to many parents and others who remember once being children. The songs are a mix of ones that my parents sang to me and my sisters when we were young, songs I sing to my own children and others that I think are beautiful songs for children to listen to.
All proceeds after costs from the song and album sales will be donated to the charity Yes to Life (Registered Charity No 1112812) for the first year of sales. This charity was set up in memory of my younger sister, Bryony, who died from cancer in 2004 at the age of 23 (yestolife.org.uk/our-inspiration). Yes to Life empowers people with cancer to make informed decisions about their care options. For nearly two decades, they have provided evidence-informed information to those in need, and those seeking to pursue approaches that are currently only available as private healthcare.
